"Not the best sleeping bag around but for what you're paying it is more than worth it. I bought this for when I bring my girlfriend along on short weekend trips but have actually found myself taking it over my northface bag that was over $200 because of it's a synthetic bag. It is great if they are calling for rain because the synthetic retain more heat than a down when wet. The stuff sack did rip as I was pulling it back but it was replaced no questions asked...Don't expect to pack this bag real tight with the included stuff sack but this isn't a hiking bag anyways so it doesn't really matter."

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"The sleeping bag keeps you warm in cold temperatures, but getting the sleeping bag back in the stuff sack completely takes a miracle from God...or a man with popeye strength forearms. It's even more difficult when your fingers are cold. I would use this for car camping but definitely not for backpacking."

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
