"We love this gate! Our space is wider than average, plus we wanted something that wouldn't look awful next to our beautiful stairway and banister. In reading the other reviews I saw that some had trouble with the hardware and instructions... we had NO trouble with the hardware. "From looking at my husband installing the gate, I know it's not easy. He was pretty frustrated w/ the screws since it keeps breaking on him.
