Just avg to less than avg ...

★★★★☆
4.0

"Just avg to less than avg - This shoe is very light on the feet. If you've ever owned a pair of Red Head hikers they are light weighted like them. PRO: I think the shoes have an awesome look about them. They go well with jeans or shorts. CONS: My biggest complaint is the toe narrows up too much for me and the shoe runs about 1/2 too small; and once I added a sock it was a full size too small. This is due mainly to the construction of the toe narrowing up the way it does. My 2d complaint is the shoestrings are too short. If you use the very top loop on the shoe then the strings don't leave you much of any to tie. When I skipped the top loop on the shoe it created too much of a loose fit in the shoe for me and I noticed some slippage (ie rubbing on the heel). Overall, with these issues it's not a shoe that I'd highly recommend for any serious walking or hiking. My best use for them is to wear while fishing and that's only because I don't have to walk in them except to/from my truck to/from my bass boat. I'd recommend putting an extra 30-40 bucks in a different shoe and getting something better. PRIMARY PRO: Guys, the one thing you need to do is BUY ALL OF YOUR SHOES FROM ZAPPOS. You absolutely WILL NOT find a better shoe store in the country. These guys are super fast and offer a no-hassle return policy. I've ordered about 10 pairs of shoes from them and always, always, always I get my shoes the next day. It's like they're sitting a mile away from you waiting to get your order! Zappos is the ONLY way to shop for shoes!!"

Shoe Designed for ...

★★★★★
5.0

"Shoe Designed for Climbing - These shoes are designed as climbing approach shoes and that's why they fit narrow in the toe section. They are quite comfortable and with the sticky rubber, I find it's easy to lead up to 5.8 in them. If you want a great big wall climbing shoe these are them. They are really comfy while standing in aiders, while the sticky rubber gives you confidence for those free climbing moves. I like them because the high ankles keep me from rolling an ankle while hiking with the haul bag. Definitely worth the money."

"Mad Rock Fury in Az - I've only done several miles of desert trekking in these, but they are very comfortable and sure-footed. A friend said he liked my shoes and wanted to know where to get them. Overall - excellent shoes for the money."
