Definitely recommed. Nice gift idea.
"I did not notice a strong smell like others, however I did lay it out and wiped it down. I ordered the letters, numbers, shapes, corners & edges. My son absolutely loves his play area. I created little boxes that are attached to the mat. He loves pulling up on the boxes and walking from one to the other. Since the boxes were attached to the bottom mat, they do not tumble over. NOT safe for children under 3
"I loved this mat for most of the time we have had it, which is about a year. Recently, my 20 month old daughter easily bit one of the little tabs off this mat. Thankfully, I was right there and saw it happen, so I was able to pull it out of her mouth before she choked on it.
