Cheap parts inside
"We love the look of this fridge and the removable, adjustable shelves on the inside of the doors. BUT we've had to repair several flimsy parts on the inside of it twice. The GE support was actually pretty good- they came out and replaced the humidity control lever 2 times without question. They also replaced a broken drawer and the upper plastic part of the left door broke. I probably wouldn't buy this again and opt for something more expensive because maybe it would break less."

Best Uses
"Do not buy this product! I took delivery of this product on May 2, 2008 and I have already had to call for service. The temperature varies inside of the fridge by 15 to 20 degrees. I have the temperature set at 38 degrees. The temperature on the top shelf is at 38 degrees, but as you move down in the fridge the temperature drops significantly. The temperature inside of the crisper drawers is at 18 degrees. The GE service technician told me that the crisper drawers are supposed to be that cold and told me that there was nothing he could do. In addition to frozen produce, the water dispenser does not work because the temperature variations causes the internal plumbing to freeze."
So far, pretty good.
"No complaints so far; [...]. Installation was straightforward, though I haven't hooked up the water line for the interenal dispenser or ice maker yet. It's my first french-door model, and so far I'm pleased. The compressor is a bit loud when it first kicks on, but then settles down very quickly and is quiet. Keeps a very even temperature."
