"This product is great for the price. The only downside is there is no front inputs for hooking up temporary components. Other than that it is exactly as advertised."

"I set this up on Christmas day along with the rest of my home theater speaker system in a couple of hours. It was much easier than I expected and it greatly enhances our entertainment experience."
"This amp has a nice clean yet powerful sound, as well as the newest 5.1 dolby, pro logic, and DTS features. It also has DSP sound fields to enhance music or movies to sound like you are in a club or theater. I previously had a Sony DE698 (7.1, 630 watts), that had more settings and features. However, its design was much more bland, the interface was terrible, and the sound wasn't quite as clean as the yamaha (it shorted out in 1 month). All in all , the yamaha is a very good deal.
Problems Encountered: None yet
Previous Equivalent Items Owned: Sony STR DE698
Items I Recommend: 5.1 setup"
