"We bought a FP washer early last year & have had a fine experience with it (particularly low water consumption), so when our 13-year-old Whirlpool dryer stopped working for the 2nd time in a few years, we decided to go with this FP dryer to have a matching pair. So far, the dryer has been just as great as the washer. My wife loves it- she says it drys quickly and she likes the location of the lint filter and the drum light. The fine quality is apparent when you look at the dryer construction, and I like the storage tray design of the top. The drum is just the right size for a family of four. I really like everything about it except I wish I could have bought it for a bit less than I paid, but it seems to be worth the money [$]"
"Double satisfaction: first is in making a great buying decision; second is in using.
This is our 2nd Fisher Paykel washer in 3 years.
As good as they are, they're no match for a house fire. The only way I could possibly replace the first Fisher Paykel washer we had was with a second Fisher Paykel washer. Love the way this thing works from the minute you press start and it starts turning the bowl and adding just the perfect amount of water, until it's finished spinning and the clothes come out almost dry enough to wear."
"Family of 5, use it everyday. At first it seemed to work well, but then after a year or 2, we noticed that many of our clothes were being snagged, the buttons constantly came off, etc. Then we began having problems with what we think is the timer switch. It will not time correctly, so we have to constantly restart individual loads. When we inquired about diy help in repairing it, we were told that the parts are not available to consumers. A professional repairman is required. Not worth the money or irritations. I'll never buy P&Q again."
