This style is the newest version in the Addiction series (replacing Brooks Addiction 6). Running shoe built for the moderate over-pronator who requires a combination of cushioning and enhanced stability. When it comes to pronation control, the Addiction 7 is hard to resist. Previously considered the pinnacle of smooth, it now delivers an even smoother ride for runners with low or flat arches while maintaining the control, stability and cushioning known and loved by severe overpronators. Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB ) controls the rate and degree of pronation by guiding the foot into a more efficient stride, while resilient HydroFlow units in the forefoot and rearfoot absorb shock and cushion the foot. Mesh upper with leather overlay.

"This review is a bit lengthy but worth the time. I have been in the Marine Corps for 16 years now. I have worn many different brands of shoes, paying very little for each pair, thinking that the shoes I wore didn't matter. I also have a serious overpronating problem when I run. People always told me I needed a different type of shoe or my knees would regret it later. Guess what, I do. I went shoe shopping and the salesman introduced me to the Brooks Addiction 7 shoe. From the moment I put the shoes on I could tell the difference. The first time I ran in them it didn't even feel like I was wearing shoes on my feet. They have even corrected the overpronating problem that I had and my knees don't bother me when I run now. With the other shoes I had I would wear the heel part of the soles off in about 2 months. With the Brooks shoes I have had, for over a year now, there is hardly any wear on them (and I even run more now than before). I will never buy another running shoe as long as they make these. Thank you Brooks!!!!"

"I really enjoy these shoes. I overpronate and have ITBS, it has never bothered me until I really started training for the fire academy. These shoes have helped me with my lateral knee pain. Although the real key is strengthening the legs. I read the reviews online and read a lot of good things about these shoes as well as the Brooks brand in general. I will buy these shoes again as I am happy with them, overall best shoes I have ever purchased!"
