"I've been playing guitar for 30 years and decided to get something more up to date than the 1982 Guild S300AD I'd been playing. Started looking at Jacksons and fell in love with the Soloists. Saw this model at Sam Ash right next to a USA soloist and played them both for an hour or more. The *only* thing I wish this had was an ebony fretboard and a "Made in USA" headstock. This thing ROCKS! [...] you can't beat this thing. It's an arch-top too, which I love. I like the dual humbuckers, so missing the single coils is not a huge deal for me. The finish is magnificent. It differs from the USA Soloist in that the back of this one is black (but still beautiful). Neck-thru is awesome and the real Floyd-Rose stays in tune forever. [...] Play this guitar and play a USA Soloist - you'll wonder why you should pay [$] or more over the price of this one. Would I rather have a made in USA guitar? Yeah, but [$] buys a pretty nice amp!"

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"Saw this guitar while looking for strings. Decideded to play it and fell in love. Plays great, looks great, awesome sound and can get some sweet tones by pulling back on the volume knobs, kinda like old Les Pauls. Great guitar for a very reasonable price. I am definately happy with this guitar."
