"This was a Christmas gift to my 11-month-old daughter (had to get it because it brought back memories of my similar doll in the 80's). Yes, the doll looks nothing like the chubby doll on the box--the face is flat, doll is skinny, hair is different. Overall, a good doll.
"Really cute in the package, but once my daughter started playing with it, the hair became matted within just days. The batteries lasted for a few months, then when we had to replace them, it didn't work. My 2 year old daughter still tries pushing on her tummy to get her to giggle again, it makes me sad that I can't fix her (the doll, not my daughter :)) Also, the doll's hand has a tear from my daughter squeezing..."
