"I recently bought a pair of these. The leather is thick but soft and supple. The fit is great for me. I'm almost always a size 6 in jeans and shorts (but sometimes a 4), and these (6) fit me like a glove. If you are between sizes, or want to layer underneath, you might want to go up a size. "The picture made me hesitant but I am very happy with my purchase. The pants fit perfectly and they are not oddly shiny like the pic. I have tried a good share of riding pants lately but these are the only ones so far to meet my expectations and they look good on too. "
