"I actually bought the SUV thingy, it looks like a car and holds 6 of these markers. Fist my son loves to carry the car around and to play with these markers, BUT within seconds of getting them out he has marker all over his hands, his clothes, his face, everything! The SUV doesn't hold the markers securely so they fall out onto the carpet and yes marks it. The ink comes out really heavy onto the paper and does not dry quick enough so it also smudges and makes even more of a mess. Thank God the ink is washable! Even though Crayola claims these things aren't messy, it's a complete lie. You have to 'activate' the tip to get the ink flowing each time you want to use them. My son just gets frustrated that they won't mark, but when the ink does flow it flows everywhere. I highly doubt they even tested this product with real moms and real children, what kind of parent would approve of this product? So unless you like your kid/ clothes/ house to get covered in marker DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Just buy your kid washable crayons. Crayola makes some really nice triangular beginner crayons. No mess involved, and they wash easily off walls and table with only a quick wipe of water."

"I bought the tadoodles crayons for my 18 month old son. I had put off buying them because of the price. He has a 4 1/2 yr old brother and loves coloring or scriblling with him. I finally broke down and bought them. Well he didn't even have them out of the package for 2 mins when the crayons fell out of the holder. I thought this was very cheap. I also don't like the idea that once the crayon is gone it's gone. They should have refills for them. I called Crayola today with my complaint; the lady was very friendly and told me to take the crayon and put the pointed side into the holder it does seem tighter but I don't know if it will withstand my son or not. She also is sending me out a 6 dollar coupon. I wish I would have read these reviews before I purchased them. If you still have the box or even not, I would call crayola and complain. I have never been unsatisfied with a product of theirs untill now."

"I purchased these for my son thinking it would be a great bonding moment and a memory to enjoy forever. Mommy and son first coloring time together... I was wrong. Crayola was right they do fit into your child's hand perfectly BUT... they have to learn to turn them over and push down to get ink out. Once ink comes out its everywhere. Also, my son is teething and his first reaction was to stick the ink in his mouth. He now looks like a Smurf. The ink does come out very fast and as one other comment said the design does encourage the child to throw them. Throwing of ink is not good! They did wash off with warm water and soap. If your looking for a very messy bonding time with your child then this is the product you want. :)"
