Rough stitching at buckle

"The shoes are cute and basically comfortable, but the stitching under the buckle clasp is very course and rough. I am looking for a product that I can put over the stitching so I can wear the shoes comfortably; in the meantime I have to wear them very loosely buckled to keep the stitching from causing pain.
