"We got this to prevent the cats from opening a bi-fold door to a bedroom. It is easy for an adult to slide over the hinge area, from either side of the door, yet prevents the cats from opening it. This is a simple cuff of clear plastic that fits over the top of the door. When it is over the hinge area of a folding door, the door cannot open. It works exactly as described! Frustrating for frequent use door!
"This is a simple effective lock for a bi-fold door but we do not use it. Yes, it kept my toddler out of the closet but this door happens to house supplies that we use frequently. I found that unlocking it every time I needed to get in the door extremely frustrating.
