While it says for 1yr and up, please remember the AAP advocates rearfacing as long as possible, at least age 2 or when the convertible seat's rearfacing limits are reached.

Now, for children like my daughter, who have already outgrown the rearfacing limits of convertible seats, this is a great seat to harness them till they are truly ready for a booster.

Graco announced at Lifesavers Convention that it has a 6yr lifespan as a harnessed and highback seat, that latch may be used when the seat is a highback booster (including top tether), that cars without latch can use the top tether with the it as a highback booster, and that the seat has a 9yr lifespan as just a backless booster.

So, with my seat having a 11/11/07 date, it can be used until 11/11/13 as a harnessed seat or highback booster, and then until 11/11/16 as a backless booster.

My daughter was almost 4 when I bought this seat (she turned 4 in March), so it will be the last seat she needs. (She'll be almost 10 when s

I am an overly car safe mom of 2 boys. I was formerly a car seat installer certified by the state where I live, so I know a lot about carseats and this is an awesome seat. We had previously purchased both the Britax Marathon and the Britax Roundabout for our sons aged 3 and a half and 5 and a half, both averaged sized kids, which we were happy with, but when we purchased a van, those seats just seemed huge in the van, they worked great for the car however and we still use them in the car. When looking for new seats that would fit well in our van I saw this new Graco seat online and was really impressed by the features and ease of use, so we purchased one and then another for both of our boys. We love them, easy to install, my 5 and a half year old fits great in the 5 point harness and will be able to be in that for at least another year as he still is not at the top strap level. He will never get the 65 lb mark, but his height will probably push him to where he needs to use the boost

        Great Seat for BIG Kids

This seat is fantastic for my 30lb almost 2yr old little boy. He's a big kid. He stayed rear facing until 20mo old in his Alpha Omega Elite, but reached the height limit. He has almost ougrown the AOE by height forward facing too. I wish he could have stayed rear facing longer because it is safer, but I feel good having him in this seat. Our new goal is to keep him in a 5pt harness until age 6. I know in OH that he can legally be in some boosters (crazy I know) & by age 4 only be in a seatbelt. Laws are only minimums though. Safety is another story.

Setting it up was a breeze. The instructions are very clear & easy to understand. We had no trouble installing it in our 02 Blazer with the seatbelt. He climbs right up into it & loves the cup holder. This seat will certainly grow with him. It has tall harness slots & a 65lb weight limit with the harness. THe seat then turns into a great booster with the back & then without the back.

I've noticed reviews here & elsewhere talking abou

I purchased this car seat after spending a lot of time comparing prices and reading reviews. I was just in a bad car accident a few days ago and I must say, my son walked away with very minor bruises from the straps. This car seat saved his life. I would highly recommend this seat. Read more

I've already written a review on this car seat!! I'm just responding to some of the reviews that it has a short crotch strap. It has three adjustable slots to move the crotch strap to. If you push down on the crotch strap, and feel underneath the seat where the crotch strap is, you'll feel a little metal rectangular thing.Turn it upwards (vertically) and push it through the hole and put it in whatever hole fits your child best!! It's really easy.I don't have the owner's manual with me,it's in my husband's glove box ,but I'm sure it's in there somewhere if my directions aren't good enough!! Read more
