I've been really pleased with the performance of this epilator. I was a big fan of the Emjoi Optima, was unhappy with how quickly the Emjoi's rotating discs would wear out...so I decided to try something new. Pros: The little massage bar (removable) does help to take the sting out of the process, if you find that you have a lot of pain. I have found this epilator to be pretty comfortable. After just a few uses, you no longer get much pain or sting when the hair is ripped out. *This epilator does actually rip out the hair--doesn't just break it off like some. *Either it's not included in the product description, or I missed this part, but you get a 'bonus' shaver head--a non-epilating kind. Nice surprise! Cons: None so far...the real test will be how long it takes until the rotating metal discs last. Recommendation: I'm very pleased with this product and I would recommend it to any beginners or long-time epilators. Read more

Bought this to replace an Epilady, which was not doing even a fair job. I did not have high hopes for the Norelco, but to my delight it works great! It takes much less time than previous epilators I have tried, and can even be used on the bikini area with a little practice. As with other epilators, you run the risk of getting a few ingrown hairs when you use it, so I recommend exfoliating your legs, etc, to prevent this from happening. Read more

If you can hang in there past the first few times you use this, it doesn't hurt nearly as much. It does a nice job of hair removal, but it does leave you with a little stubble the first couple of days after each use. It comes with a loofah pad for this reason. I would strongly suggest that you use this after you bathe because it hurts a lot less that way. I would buy this item again. Read more

I am a first time epilator user and let me tell you... it hurts! I bought this to be used on the bikini line and I would rather be waxed. Perhaps after a few months of using it on my legs I will try it on my bikini line again. I did not find it easy to use and had large places where it did not touch the hair. For beginners like me it hurts like crazy!!! Read more

I have tried many different brands of Epilators since they came out. I was not happy with this one at all. It did not do a good job removing the hair. It took a long time going over and over the same area. It did not last long either and just stopped working. I only used it for my forearms and I just have light fine hair on my arms. Read more
