This is an awesome camera for beginners to intermediate uses. This is the third camera under $100 that I have owned in three years, but it is the BEST camera out of all three. I am sure I will not have to buy any more. It has majority of the features included in my friends $300 camera. I love the HUGE 2.5" screen - Love it. My battery was only 1/3 full when I first got it. However, I read at GE's site that there was a free firmware upgrade to fix the issue and help the camera read the battery at correct value. I fixed it within seconds. If you don't fix the issue, the camera will not turn back on or continually state the battery is exhausted. I think for the most part GE provided excellent consumer support for this product. Great buy.. If they can make long lasting appliances then I know my camera will be around for a while!!!! Read more

I was very hesitant to buy such a low priced digital camera. I have been using a camara that I paid $500 for. I wanted to get my wife a digital and thought I would try the GE. I could always take it back after a short trial. I find myself using her camera more than my own. It is so very easy to use. I don't have to go through a lot of menus to do what I want. I paid [$]for this camera, and I'm not suprised the price has come down soo much, its junk. I bought this camera has a back-up to use for those moments you wish you had a camera. Well every time I wanted to use it the batteries were already dead. It eats batteries like crazy. Besides not being able to take pics when I wanted, it is totally broken now, and I've only taken 53 pictures with it. The lens won't open or come out. This camera was extremly well taken care of, yet did not return the love. Don't buy this junk. Read more
