This is a good double-din unit. I use it for my iPod Classic, my carputer (laptop), and the bluetooth hands-free phone. I haven't used the radio or CD player much, nor have I subscribed to XM or Sirius. The iPod controls are good and fast. I was a little concerned about the speed of the interface since I have 12,000 MP3s. The bluetooth hands-free works great. It connects to my 2-year-old samsung phone as long as it's anywhere in the car. I like the indicator light for this too, so you know that it's connected. My cell phone doesn't support phonebook transfer over bluetooth, but I'm getting a new phone in 2 weeks anyway. I'm thinking LG Dare or LG Decoy, or I might go with the trusty LG EnV2 or LG Voyager. Any of these phones should transfer the phonebook without any problems. When using the phone feature, people can hear me fine and I can hear them fine. As you may know, WRX's are not the quietest cars, especially when you have a worn out wheel bearing and custom exhaust. One thing I n

I was looking for a 2DIN unit to replace the HU in my volvo S70. There aren't many out there so I quickly had it narrowed down to three including a Clarion, a Kenwood, and this Pioneer unit. On looks alone the Pioneer wins of course. However, I was looking specifically for an HU that would permit direct control and display of the iPOD functionality (artists, playlists, scrolling, etc). This was the unit that had the best iPOD controls and it offered so many other features that I could not pass it up. [...] I did the install. Read more

J&R was great, with an awesome price [...] The headunit arrived and I set it up the same day. Connections were a breeze with an aftermarket wiring harness adapter and the headunit has tons of connections which is why I chose it. I was worried that the controls would be difficult to master, but a few minutes in and I had my phone, USB, Ipod, Subs, and auxiliary inputs all dialed in. The sound is fantastic! And the adjustable high pass and low pass filters made it perfect for an audiophile like myself. The entire unit starts up almost instantly when the car is turned on so you never have to wait for your music, and it has adjustments for just about everything to tailor the sound to your liking. I was a firm believer in JVC headunits, but now I will be a loyal Pioneer owner. For the money this headunit cannot be beat! On a minor note, anyone using a N-Series Nokia phone will have troubles with bluetooth until you install the update from Pioneer. Only then will the phone pair every time yo

I was very excited to receive this CD player, as I had been planning on buying it for several months. I researched many CD players over those months and I always ended up coming back to the Pioneer FH-P8000BT. I was especially drawn to the Bluetooth capabilities and the HD Radio expandability.

Installing the Pioneer was a breeze in my '08 Civic and I have loved it ever since. I purchased aftermarket Infinity speakers approximately a year ago and hadn't noticed a difference from the factory speakers until I installed my Pioneer. I was amazed at the fullness of sound that this unit provided. I was eventually thinking of buying an aftermarket amp, but since having this head unit I have reconsidered.

The CD and radio sound is great. I also hooked up my iPod to the Pioneer and was amazed. I expected the iPod to sound overly compressed and flat but was amazed that the sound was at least as good as playing a CD. Pioneer has outdone itself with the sound coming out of this unit

This is the first time I have used J&R[...]This head unit works great. I love the MP3 input. I ran the input cable to the glove box from behind. It keeps my Itouch charged up and displays all the songs on the unit. I think you can use a flash drive if you wanted to. I never have to open the glove box!LOTS of additional features with a sleekclean OEM look. Bluetooth works great and I like the way you can upload your phone numbers from your phone to the unit. An external microphone is included and has a LONG wire lead so you can place it just about anywhere. I was leary about having no preset "buttons" for radio settings,.but they are in the main center knob and works great. Very easy to use once you use it a few times. GREAT price too.. better prices than [@] Read more
