I had extremely bad hot flashes several times a day as well as really bad night sweats. Each night I slept with an ice pack as well as a wet washcloth nearby. My doctor suggested I try a soy product. After reading reviews about SoyBalance I ordered the product. Several days after beginning SoyBalance I realized my hot flashes were down to 2 a day. The night sweats have gone away and I actually can sleep through the night. I would recommend this product to anyone going through menopause. I researched quite a few 'womens' health books and it was clear greater levels of soy 'extract & isoflavones' are the most effective ingredients which can relieve menopausal symtoms. Soy Balance is the only drugstore product I've found available which contains just both. However, SB does takes a while to start working. If you run out or skip doses your symptoms can return quickly. So far I have not been able to find larger dose packages and a monthly dose of 28 pills is not 31. No matter, I've tossed out all the other 'herbal' cocktails for Soy Balance ! Read more

I've taken Soy Balance once a day for years after having a hysterectomy at age 39 and 10 years of HRT. After reading some reviews whereby it is taken twice a day maybe I'll try that. I did quit taking it once thinking it was a bunch of hooey! But it's not. I immediately got hot flashes etc back so started up again. I buy a package of 56 (I think) at BJ's Wholesale Club. I absolutely love this product! After having a hysterectomy and being on HRT for 9 yrs., this is actually a better therapy! I take 2 tablets/day and pray that the company continues to mfg. them.
