I've only run in them twice, but so far I love these shoes. I have bunions, and the side of the shoe, where my bunions normally hit, are part of the stretchy mesh panel. Not having the shoe pressing against my bunion is very comfortable. I also have orthotics, which fit in these quite well. In terms of cushioning, these shoes are also great. I have occasional knee problems, but haven't had any pain yet. Even with only two times out, this is still a very, very good sign. I think this shoe might run a tiny bit large, possibly less than half a size. The looks -- for myself I really wish these came in a selection of colors, preferably something with a little less white. But ultimately I wanted these for running, not for looks, and I can live with these. My exercise routine consists of treadmill walking, elliptical, strength training and some kickboxing. These running shoes were recommended based on an assessment of my foot. The shoes were expensive so I contacted Saucony and was told that the Omni 5s were also a good shoe for my needs. I ended up ordering both shoes knowing that I would return a pair. I chose the Hurricanes primarily because I liked the look and they are supposed to have better stability. The real story is Zappos. Not only is shipping free (and usually upgraded to 1-2 day air), but return shipping is also free AND they offer a 110% price guarantee. I actually found these shoes cheaper on another website and Zappos refunded the difference. I love my Saucony Grid Hurricane 8 running shoes. This is the first pair I've bought in this particular style and they are worth every penny. I've been a fan of Saucony running shoes for 13 years now. I had suffered from heel and knee pain for years until I started wearing Saucony. No other brand worked for me, even the famous ones. These shoes have made it possible for me to wear dress shoes again because my heels have quit hurting. The colors on these go perfectly with my jeans, or any slacks. A couple of my toes go numb while running in these and I have run on Saucony's for 5 years now and never had this problem. I would get a full size bigger. I usually buy an 8 in the sauconys but I would get an 8 1/2. In most shoes I wear a 7 1/2. I have run on these shoes for about 2 weeks now. I am not saying that I hate these but I don't think they are the same because of changes made, mostly to the toe box being smaller than most Saucony shoes. My feet feel great! I haven't had this much support in years! After I had my kids my arches broke down or so I thought. Now even just wearing these shoes for an hour each day makes my arches great and my feet feel like they are getting stronger. These are great shoes and if you are looking at them BUY THEM NOW! You will not be disappointed. I thought the fit was wrong because the shoes were so snug but just wait and see for yourself when you get you running socks on with them they fit great.
