Great travel tripod. It is light weight and compact. I wish it extended to few more inches. Read more

This tripod is fantastic... it folds up to just over a foot long but telescopes to over 3.5' and has all the features you'd expect... center post inversion, rubber and pointed feet, sturdy construction, etc. Head and ball is more than sufficient for my Canon DR XTi and Canon USM IS 28-135 lens. Great value for the money. Read more

This is the best compact tripod I have ever used. I probably have 9 or 10 higher-end tripods from all the major manufacturers and this is as good as any, better than most. It's fast to set up and adjust, as rigid as tripods with twice its mass, very strong and sturdy but so light and compact. Very high build quality. The retractable foot spikes are a great feature in the field and hard to find on mini tripods. In a pinch I've even used it with a Hassy by swapping to a larger head. A perfect 10 with smaller digitals like a G9, or with a leica. I just bought a second one from B&H. Read more

Every tripod should be made with the great features of this little tripod – removable head, nice tight ball on head, independently adjustable legs, reversible center column, and flip locks on the legs. Surprising solid given its very small size and light weight although not a replacement for a full size tripod if you are using it outside in the wind. If you remove the head, it can actually be packed in a space 12.5” long. The people that print the box need to learn to translate things into English better, but good for a laugh… On the box it says “It can carry compact and lightweight.”, “The high-class feeling gray metallic paint is adopted.”, “The special round pipe containing magnesium in intensity and lightweight”, and “The small and compact ball head can be used with snap feeling is equipped.” Read more

I needed a travel tripod and this was the smallest serious legset i could find. Initial impressions are very good. It's small well made and sturdy. The weekest link in the whole setup is the head which i replaced (yes the ballhead is user replacable!!) with a small Feisol ballhead with a RRS clamp. I also removed the longer center column peice as increasing it made the whole setup a little less stable. The whole rig was able to hold my nikon D70+ RRS L bracket+ Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens easily (even for exposures of a couple of seconds in the feild). Whats more i was able to fit the modified tripod in to my northface backpack. Made a excellent light travel tripod. I bet the Gitzo's are better but for the amount of money i payed this little guy has far exceeded my expectations. Read more
