The lining is thin enough to keep your feet warm, but not so overbearing as to make them sweat. The bottom allows you to wear them outside (ish) to maybe get the paper or relax on your patio without trashing the soles. It's not enough of a sole to turn the moc into a shoe, so don't buy if you want these as shoes. I love the pink color, too; very feminine and bright. I've had them for awhile and they're holding up well. The only problem I have is making sure I don't wear down the shape of the heel by smashing it down when I slide my feet in.
