Let me begin by saying that over 30 years,I have owned 2 Sharp 1.5 size micro-convection ovens. Each one lasted more than 13 years and NEVER had a problem with either until they died of old age. I recently purchased this unit (from -----,not ABT). The first one came dented. We sent it back and they exchanged it. We got the second unit on 6/29/09 and the turntable quit on 7/4/09-5DAYS! Needless to say we are sending it back for a full refund. DON'T BUY SHARP!!!! We should have known, as other customers had the same experience,but thought we would take the chance.... Bad decision. We have this oven in our motorhome and we took a trip over Thanksgiving and took our own food as I am dieting and on low sodium. Even though we were at our son's, we prepared our own meals and used our new oven. It works just great and is larger then the previous one we had. This oven gives true combination convection/microwave cooking at a reasonable price point. I love having a second true oven It's attractive and professional-looking. One small concern: It has a plastic door latching mechanism that I suspect may prove less durable than the rest of the oven. Initially the latch was too tight but it settled in after a few days. Bought it to replace an older Sharp Convection Oven. Controls are a little different, but easier to use then the old one. The construction seems to be a little lighter all around. Last one lasted over fifteen years and two kids. Time will tell if the lightness in construction only makes it easier to lift. Read more

Still discovering all the uses for this convection microwave, especially the combination micro/convection feature, which seems very similar to the much more expensive (and trendy) TurboChef oven. My family has always been pleased with Sharp microwaves in the past (20+ years) so I was comfortable with the purchase.
