I bought this for my niece for Christmas. She gives my sister (her mom) so much trouble when my sis tries to read to her. You know how independent four yr olds can be. Well, I tried it in the store and bought one along with the Dora and Little Mermaid book. (I actually bought it from [...] b/c I got a case and an extra book Ozzie & Mack for the same [$]) Anyhow, you have to know that you must download the free audio for the books you want to put on the reader. The pen can hold 5 items at a time, but you can store any others on your computer for fast content changes. (kinda like an Ipod)I played with it for an hour. I did the fun activities, listened to the stories, and probably the feature my niece will love the most, is the character's talking in their own voices when you tap them.I strongly advice you to buy your 2 AAA batteries and set it up before giving it to the child. They're going to want to play with it immediately. My three year old has swiped it twice. She loves it, but just

This product is great. Between work and school I stay busy and this is a lifesaver. It is highly interactive with not only the stories but games as well. It is nice when someone can release a product that is not only educational but entertaining to the point that my child wants to use it all the tim. <a href="http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/leapfrog-tag-reading-system-reviews#bz-model-review-11771895">Read more</a>

I was considering getting the TAG for my 5-year-old. When I saw that TRU had it available in pink I knew I had to get it for her. She likes listening to stories and following along in books. This is so much easier than having to keep changing CDs or search for the right story on her MP3 player. She just touches the book with the TAG and it reads each word, each page or the whole story with little tones to let her know when it's time to turn the page.

You can also press a button on the side of the TAG to hear the stories without the tone. If your child likes to just listen to stories without following along, you can download books you don't have and just play the audio. However, that would exclude the game feature. On the story pages there pictures that will talk when you touch them with the TAG. Then on the last 4 pages there are activities where kids can touch different words, letters and pictures to play interactive games. While the games are all eduactional, they seem rather

I bought this for my now 5 year old son for his birthday. He is an independant guy so I thought it would be good for him to do on his own. My first complaint is that opening the books was a pain in the neck. Each one is sealed shut with a sticker. Since he had gotten I think 14 of the books it was very time consuming having to peel all of them off. Only one came off really easy and in one piece, the others required a lot of scraping. Highly frustrating. Not sure why that is required. He als got the super speller thing and you have to be really fast in order to do that. I was helping him do it yesterday. It doesn't give you enough time to clear the letters or to get them back into their spots. You could do it without putting them back in their spots and in the area that they have you put the letters to form a word. My older son (almost 8) and loves the I Spy books so he was enjoying that one. Haven't tried out the other books yet nor the online portion of it. The other thi
