This little freezer works very well. I've owned it for about nine months now, and have yet to need to defrost it. It's very cold and quite efficient. The only thing I have against this item is the noise of the evaporator valve. When the compressor is running you will hear the freon "burbling" through the expansion valve. Not terribly loud, but not necessary either. All in all, a product well worth considering. Read more

I purchased this for my wife as she wants to get rid of the old fridge/freezer that we keep outside for extra(s).[...] We uncrated it and cleaned it per the instructions. We then put in a bag of 12 large hardrolls in the bottom shelf/drawer (wifes idea), turned up the temp to 6 (MAX) and plugged it in.In less than two hours they were rock solid! We then adjusted the temp to 3 1/2 and filled the rest of the drawers up with mostly bagged foods i.e. vegetables, fries.... and it actually holds a little more than one might think.The next day everything was frozen to what my wife said is "PERFECT". Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Avanti freezer to anyone looking for that "extra" storage. P.S. Wish it also came in Black. Read more

This is a nice little freezer, particularly for an apartment dweller. It has a small footprint and the top provides extra counter space. Apartment refrigerators are typically on the small side, with correspondingly small freezers. This unit provides the extra freezer storage that allows me to purchase multiple frozen items when they're on sale. It gets cold quickly and stays cold. It's a bit noisy, but not any more so than the refrigerator in my apartment. It does seem to frost up quickly though. Overall, a nice little freezer for the price. I'm glad I bought it. Read more

This was all I wanted in a freezer and more. There are just two of us in my house but I do like to buy in bulk and on sale so I needed more cold storage space. I looked into chest type freezers but was afraid that defrosting and keeping track of inventory would be more difficult.
