Surprising, since they are Crabtree & Evelyn, which was one of the reasons I was willing to spend more than usual for such a simple slipper. One of the slippers (left one) was defective and caused problems with fit; it was somehow slightly off-center, which caused part of my heel to fall on the inside back edge. Within a week of wearing, only indoors and occasionally, I began to hear something rattling around in the heel of the left slipper. Then, when I washed them for the first time, gentle cycle, they simply did not hold up. I did not get any kind of decent wear out of these slippers. They started falling apart in less than two weeks, so I decided to return them. The heel looked higher in the picture. I'm glad it isn't. They are soft and the memory Foam isn't super thick but I don't mind that at all. Comfy, good traction on tile. Love them! The straps are way too wide and your feet just slide out. I can t return them because I had to try them out on my wood floors. I do not have carpet.
