The new LG refrigerator is absolutely fantastic. It makes plenty of ice, and you even have a choice of ice cube size! I transfer it to a bin in the freezer from the ice maker so I'll never run out. You may have to lower the shelf on the right hand side of the refrigerator, so you can fit your milk on the door, and also right there on the shelf both. We generally only open that one right side door to get at most of the regular groceries. The large center refrigerator drawer means you need to open both french doors, and you'll also need to open both doors to get at the little middle drawer. I think that one's for sodas? The LED lighting is nice, and looks very dramatic when it's the only illumination in a dark kitchen. The bottom freezer drawer is a large plastic tub with slots in the bottom. On other refrigerators, I've notice the freezer drawer is a basket. I would think the plastic tub would be better than the baskets because all the cold air won't "drop out" everytime you open it. Wow! Top of the line and ease of use! This frig is fabulous! The double doors for the Freezer area on the bottom are great! Practical as well! The French Doors and spacious room and the wonderful deep ice cube (3 types) and crushed ice are so useful. The deep width and ability to use for tall items is perfect! It's not only is an energy and space saver...it is a "piece of art"! Thank you for making this not only user friendly, but also quiet and far exceeds our expectations! I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing this refrigerator! I have had nothing but problems with mine. First there was a discrepancy in the energy rating. It was not as energy efficient as LG advertised, so they needed to send a tech out to replace a part. Customer service was almost impossible to get through to. I waited on hold for 50 minutes before finally hanging up. When I finally was able to have a tech come to look at it, he replaced a part and then the refrigerator actually froze all its contents when set at 47 degrees. I had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. The tech came back out and put the old part back on. So much for fixing the energy efficiency. Food still freezes from time to time. And I haven't even mentioned the ice maker yet. 8 out of 10 times when you try to dispense ice, it doesn't work. We've had this freezer for about a month. You don't realize how nice this style is before you live with it for a while. With our old side-by-side there were almost always some kind of science experiment hiding in the back. With this design everything is more visible. I thought that the drawers might be less organized that our selves in the old fridge, but I like the organization with the drawers better and you don't have to open the whole freezer to get something. Keep things you use more often in the top drawer and others in the bottom. With the two drawers things really don't get buried. I really like the fact that the water/ice dispenser is large. You can rest a pitcher on the self wile filling instead of having to hold it up there. There is also a separate button for water in case the item is too big for the dispenser lever. One things is odd is that the water dispense will stop if you open the adjacent door -- Kind of odd. What we miss a little is the more door storage for big s … Read more
