Great dryer for the money!

My Super Capacity, Super Quiet Kenmore dryer(Whirlpool) broke down just shy of 10 years and I went with the thought of buying another Whirlpool and just a dryer. I needed a dryer to match the current washer's capacity and I didn't want to spent a lot. This FP dryer was less than the Whirlpools I was looking at. The sales person told me about the washer/dryer set and how it works like a front loader and is energy efficient and many of the sales people have them at Abt. I bought this and the FP washer: WA37TG1. I almost didn't get this model because the lint filter was on the front and with my dryer vent set up a top lint filter (Whirlpool design) was recommended. This lint filter while smaller than my older one is very different. It is not screen mesh but more of a very tight plastic mesh that captures a ton of lint. This dryer isn't nearly as quiet as my Kenmore that died after just 5 years. On the pro side, I have never owned a dryer where the clothes come out virtually wrinkle free! I had no idea that was possible. It seems to be a great dryer with very few frills for a great price. Read more
