We just got two new members in our family, a Black Labrador and a little Beagle Mix. This dog house is perfect for the two of them, and when they're outside, if they're not playing, they're inside their new home all snuggled up together. Although they will mostly be indoor dogs, they will spend some time outside. The weather has been crazy in Vegas lately, this new doghouse has held up to the wind, rain, and even the rare Las Vegas snow. I might remove the plastic strips and replacing them with something heavier, as the puppies are doing what puppies do best, and that's chewing them. I just recently purchase this duplex dog house as a new concept for myself. My two dogs a catahoula pitbull and a rott pitbull and my puppy UKC AKC Amstaff APBT. The two boy dogs never have experienced a dog house their whole life until I ordered this duplex one set it up in 15 minutes by myself but note im a built fit man. [...]the only thing defects are that the wood is pretty dry and there were a few cracks in it that were very minor but did not effect the houses actual structure. When I was finsihed before I put the roof on I put each dog in the house to seperatley and when I went to remove the plastic flaps my dogs immediatley licked me to death. There is not a dog house on the market as of April 17 08 that beats this price and quality of this house you get a BOOM BOOM for your Buck. Read more

We ended up taking out the plastic and all four pygmy goats went right inside. My daughter went out after dark one rainy night and all four stuck their heads out the doors. They love it. As you can see we added a porch overhang and painted it to match the barn and house. It was a fun project and works perfect. Everything else we looked at was so expensive and either to small or to large. Two of the goats are pretty small and two are pretty fat, and they fit! Read more

Great dog house. My two puppies haven't grown into yet but they did chew on it quit a bit. But it still works well against rain and snow. The plastic flaps help that a lot. It is not insulated but needs to be with the two doors. (easily done at home) Also, the picture for the product description is much lighter than the one we received so the dog house doesn't match our house like we had hoped. Read more

Attractive and easy to assemble. I placed it on a slightly elevated, turf-covered wood base and plan on adding a porch and insulation for more protection in severe weather, but this is great for mild weather just as it is. Because my dogs live outdoors, it's really important to me to provide them with a safe, comfortable shelter. Very pleased with my purchase! Read more
