I have had this unit now for about four months and got it on sale. I must say that I am extremely impressed all around. I have the SoundBar hooked up to a Sony 60" KDS60A3000 and am truly pleased. This is the third SoundBar I have owned in the past five years and sounds better than the previous two that were much more expensive.

It is a heavy unit (which is good..don't listen the the people who say that is a negative as the hefty weight means it is solidly built and won't rattle like plastic units) and has good bass for it's size. It will turn up pretty loud with minimal distortion.

The sound presets are good and give a few choices to choose from depending on if you like more voice dialogue and more or less of a surround presence.

The only thing I wish this unit has is a treble control to go along with the bass control. I find myself wanting to adjust to give more high frequencies on a couple of the surround settings, but all in all this SoundBar is fabulous for the price. Read more

If you're looking for true 3D Surround Sound then no, this product won't suffice, but neither will any stand-alone soundbar. But if you just want a big improvement over most HDTVs' speakers, and don't want to run wires all over, and don't want to spend a lot, then this unit is perfect! This soundbar doesn't have any optical or HDMI inputs, just left & right RCA audio, but so what? In this class of product those things would make no perceivable difference in sound (but they WOULD add to the price!)Front display is a very bright blue fluorescent tube one-line display showing source (TV, DVD etc.) and volume level. Bass is not phenomenal, but adequite (I set it to max and left it there). There are three different sound modes (plus bypass) and they are all genuinely unique. At full volume unit is plenty loud enough for TV but probably not for just music. The MP3 cradle accepts ONLY Apple iPods so I don't use it and can't comment on it (but it does swing closed nicely when not used!)Even for

I recently purchased a 40" high-end LCD HDTV, loved the beautiful picture but was rather disappointed by the lackluster sound/speaker quality. It is a small room setup so a full surround sound system wasn't a sensible option. I needed a simple speaker upgrade with minimal wiring and looked at all the sound bar options out there. Frankly, after spending a fortune on the TV I didn't feel like spending $500 extra on speakers. I saw this Memorex unit on sale in my local newspaper and was intrigued, mostly due to low price. Frankly, I normally stick to higher-end brands when it comes to electronics and would never normally consider the Memorex brand. I was skeptical, but checked the positive reviews on this website and decided to take a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised (shocked actually) by the crisp, sparkling quality of the audio. TV, blu-rays, PS3 and Xbox 360 sound incredible. Easy setup (has 2 additional RCA input jacks), and surprisingly has a nice, substantial, expen

I'm a picky guy who owns a mid-sized recording studio so I have a lot of experience in determining sound quality. I get to try all sorts of stuff from pretty high end gear to bottom of the barrel. I have to say after trying this unit, I was pretty impressed. It can eaily mount on your wall directly below the nice big HDTV and almost seemlessly integrates into just about any existing system. The flip cradle for the IPOD is a great touch too. The sound is decent, not great, but with some tweaking, it will out-do pretty well any internal HDTV speakers.

Will this unit compete with the multi-thousand dollar home theater systems? No. But it's well worth the money and is a very worthwhile augmentation for those with wall-mounted TVs wanting a descrete and notable improvement from their stock speakers. Read more

Have Bose 321 in living room, needed speaker for the bed room 42 LCD and bought these, set up was easy and cranked up to 30 and the sound was very good, good bass and clear highs...Very good buy for the price,it,s not Bose, but then again it,s not 1000.00 Dollors eigher...Buy it, you won,t be disappointed...Con ..heavy, but fits in front of the tv,and it,s height is the same as tv speakers and sounds so much better, and it does not block the screen, plenty of power, very good buy. Read more
