I re-did my mother-in-laws 1959 kitchen. She's 94 and has never had a dishwasher. the kitchen is VERY TINY and the size of this DW fit the bill. It was easy to install, and MUCH quieter than expected. Has several good cycles and we ran dishware through most of them as we re-stocked the cabinets. It holds a suprising amount if there are no pots or large bowls. The inside racks have a flimsy feel to them but they have versatility. It's a shame it didn't come in bisque. I purchased this to fit in my compact kitchen in August 2007. Upon initial installation, it would not complete a regular cycle. I had to contact the warranty department to arrange a repairman to come service it. Upon assessing the problem, he said the wiring for the motor was loose. He pushed it in, but said that it will come loose again. He also told me that I shouldn't have purchased this brand because they continually have problems, and that the usual cost to repair is about the same cost to replace. Well, the unit worked fine with his help, but not for long.By early Spring of 2008 it stopped working. I called warranty again, they sent a repairman out, the repairman said the drainage was faulty and the entire unit needed replacing. Avanti warranty apparently agreed that it was a faulty machine and agreed to send me another one.Received the new machine and got it installed. We bought this dishwasher for our "Remodeled" Basement Apartment. Initially, the dishwasher was quite noisy. Then my husband added extra insulation around the dishwasher while installing it under the counter. Noise level is much diminished! Read more

i have 3 one in my boat one in my house and one in a rental. it is very quiet and cleans excellent, only thing is that the placement of dishes is difficult with the plastic guides that are in place. you have to figure out your own pattern that works good Read more

Disappointed from the start. From the picture of the product on the website you would think it was already built into a small cabinet so you could just plug it in, hook up to the plumbing and go....had to rewire the thing and buy an entire new countertop and build around it to install it. A normal cycle takes almost 2 hours to go through. When I finally got it out of the box it was broke and I waited almost 2 months to get a part from the manufacturer because it was on back order. By the time I find out if I like it the warranty will have run out. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. What started out as a [$] gift turned into a $800 nightmare. Read more
