Great Pack for the Price

The Rogue is my first experience with a personal hydration unit. I enjoy mountain biking, and this pack is perfect for my needs. With this pack, I can conveniently carry a spare tube, patch kit, pump, Clif Bar, multi-tool, cell-phone, ID & Cash, keys, and still have some spare room. It is much less bulky than wearing a backpack. When I am riding, the entire pack feels secure, unlike a backpack which you can feel 'rattling' around on your back through bumpy or rough sections.

Oh yeah, it also holds quite a bit of water. The insulation between the bladder is sufficient that it doesn't get warm, nor does the condensation make my back wet or cold.

Being new to personal hydration packs, it is a little awkward 'sucking' the water instead of getting a free flow of water a la a water bottle or a cup.

My only other complaint is that sipping tube just dangles there. I have used mine out on trails a couple of times, and I haven't noticed it while riding, but I am slightly paranoid

Awesome Pack

This is a great product. Its light, it looks good, and it has a lot of storage space. It can carry a spare tube, big bite valve, my iPod, my phone, energy bars, keys, and theres still room left over. Its a 2 Liter bladder which if you think about it, is a pretty descent amount of water. To refill it, just slide the bladder out and refill it, or if your in a hurry, the flap on the outside lifts up to reveal the lid for the bladder. The only reason I don't do this on a normal basis is because I'm scared I'll get the bag wet. Just a thing of mine. The nozzle is VERY easy to use. Just bite down and suck. My only complaint is that there is no waist strap. There is, however, a upper body strap, and if you tighten it all the way, you can stop the pack from bouncing. It doesn't really bother me though. All in all, this is a very good bag and I would recommend this to anybody that wants to get a camelbak. Good pack. Good quality. Good price. Good job, camelbak :D Read more

I use this pack for small hiking trips, mountain biking, trail riding, and commuting. I dont need to carry a change of clothes with me, so this pack works great. The 70 ounces are good enough for a few hours of water for me. I can carry my multi-tool, extra tube, tire levers, powerbars, sandwich, keys, wallet, cell phone, pump, and I would still have room for more stuff if I wanted! I can easily throw a jacket through the straps if I need it. I also like the air channels on this pack. A great improvement from my old rouge camelback! If you dont need 150 ounces of water or a full change of clothes, this is an awesome pack for the price. Read more

The CamelBak Rouge Hydration Pack meets my needs perfectly. I don't like to carry a lot of extra stuff with me, so the two small compartments are just right -- enough for my cell phone, ID, multi-tool, and a couple of snacks (with a little room to spare). The pack fits comfortably and has a large enough opening that removing the reservoir is a snap. I replaced the drink tube with an insulated one that I had from my previous pack, and that keeps the water in the tube from heating up when it's hot outside. Adding ice to the reservoir also provides a bit of cooling for the back. Honestly, I hardly notice that I'm wearing it at all, which is exactly what I want in a hydration system. The 70 oz reservoir is a nice size, too, minimizing the number of refilling stops required on the trails/road. I also like that you can replace parts of the system as they wear out. The bite valves tend to leak after a lot of use, and all I have to do is run to REI, buy a replacement, and pop it on. Too easy! Read more

This pack was the perfect size for my needs. This pack is light, even when filled with water and sits securely in place while riding a bike. I knew when purchasing this pack, that it would hold 2 liters of water which was exactly enough for my entire 10 mile ride.

Filling this is easy with a large mouth hole so that there's no accidental spilling while filling this up with water.

There are enough pockets with lots of room to store things. I still use my under seat bike bag, but I could just as easily use the pockets on this and have room left over.

the tube stays secure and doesn't move around while I'm riding. I use the built in clip to hold the tube and then run in across my chest and use the strap holder for it. Never feared it coming out/off during my ride. Read more
