I would really reccommend this product. I bought it back in April and was really surprised about the ease of setup and the sound. My fiance and I were watching an action movie on it the other night and only had to have it on volume 10 b/c the sound is so incredible on this thing. We haven't had any problems and enjoy it alot. The upconverter works really well. We have ours hooked up with a HDMI cord which is probably the best route to go. We also have a PS3 for a blueray player and the sound still sounds great on it! If you are looking for a great surround sound system for the money, you won't be disappointed at this one. Read more

Based on my subwoofer test track I made today, this baby goes all the way down to 1Hz! Granted you cannot hear it, but you CAN see and feel the cone moving from 150Hz to 1Hz! This is pretty dang good for a home theater system. [Subwoofer testing was performed at the set volume of 20. The home-made test track has a gradual decrease in hertz from 150Hz down to 1Hz. The differance between each is about 0.5Hz. (Ex. 11.5Hz to 11.0Hz to 10.5Hz, and so on and so forth.)] Read more

I purchased this item for my mom as a B-day present in March of 2008. After I set hers up I immediately went back and purchased one for myself and disconnected my Bose. The Bose I have is not the home theater, but the CD player they advertise on t.v. (not worth the money). This Philips system plays all DVDs, has great....I MEAN GREAT SOUND. I connect my ipod to it and my satalite radio is connected to it. Easy of set up, and use. I highly recommend this system to anyone who is looking for Great Value. Completely satisfied for almost a year. Only drawback, you can't extend the speakers very far because u can't add wiring unless u cut and splice and reattach. Read more

Very nice little home theater system. Love the MP3, USB, IPOD features. Excellent sound quality. Subs a bit passive though and im not a fan of the appearance of it. it is a little slow which can be an annoyance. But all in all a very impressive system at a great price. Watched saving private ryan the first night we got it. it was awesome. would def. recommed this product. ordered it online and got it in 3 days, standard delivery. Read more
