This is a good system for the money. The one caveat I would mention is the same as others have: the volume is limited, despite the wattage listed. It was easy to put together, and easy to balance the speakers. I put a war movie on to check it out, and I could hear the helicopters pass by on both sides! Dialogue is crisp and distinct. (and a lot better than when I play the sound through the TV--you can actually hear words through the background sounds). If you want something that will blow the walls off the house, this won't do it...but it's quite adequate for all the movies I watch (did you know "Shrek" has surround sounds?!) Read more

Even though I am technically challenged, this was fairly easy to install. I did have to buy a cable to connect my dish reciever to this reciever. We have enjoyed the sound, especially when listening to music over the satellite system. Read more
