I bought this cleanser after running out of my more expensive Clinique liquid cleanser for combo skin. This cleanser works very well to remove makeup and clean your face without stripping it of moisture. It is very gentle with very low lather and has a neutral smell. Doesnt irritate my eyes at all. This has the exact same ingredients in the very same order as the more expensive Purpose cleanser too. My only gripe about this cleanser is that it isn't very concentrated and is somewhat thin in consistency so I have to use 3x more product than the Clinique liquid cleanser, which lasts forever. But for such a low price this is the best gentle drugstore cleanser. Would def. buy again. So, I've only used this product once, And Here's my reaction. It doesn't dry out my skin, but for best results, I would use with moisturizer, because it isn't moisturizing, either. I LOVE the foamy-ness of it! I also like the very mild scent. I'm used to heavy menthol-like scents in my facial washes, because I used noxzema. For heavy breakouts during that time of the month, I'll probably use my Noxzema, just because this doesn't seem like the kind of wash that would fight those breakouts. The cool thing is, I don't have sensitive skin, I actually have pretty oily-combination skin. I stood in the store for a while debating between the oil-free and the sensitive skin versions of this product. Obviously, I went with this one. This product, purchased for my husband, replaces my makeup removing Neutrogena foaming cleanser (which does NOT remove CG waterproof mascara - this product does), and does not leave my skin feeling stripped. I love it. I like the light scent. I am late 30-something with combination skin, not overly sensitive, but prone to acne if unbalanced. I use with Skinceuticals retinol or Neutrogena Deep Wrinkle night moisturizer, Skinceuticals B5 serum, and Complex 15 facial moisturizer, and I have completely eradicated winter dryness and even removed age spots! I still can not believe how much I love this face wash! I was really hesitant to buy it because I have combination skin and have had bad luck with face washes (and I HATE switching!). This does not dry out my skin and it keeps it clear! I have not had ANY pimples since I started using this. It seems like it should be more expensive but I am SO thankful it's not. I also use the dual action moisturizer that has Salicylic Acid which is also another miracle product. They work awesome together! I would suggest these to anyone looking for a great cleanser and moisturizer especially because they are so cheap! Read more

Im a very oily 29-year old with acne problems, thus I love the feel of a deeply cleansed face. However, I needed a cleanser that was not going to make my skin red or menthol it for an illusion of clean. I also did not need to teach my skin how to become oilier by over stripping it to a leathery texture every time I washed. Found one! This stuff did not impress me at first (did not control breakouts like my acne wash did), but now I'm getting excited because after 3 weeks of use my pores are refining and my pimples have been long gone. My only gripe is the lather hassle. You have to lather it in wet hands for close to 10 seconds until you make enough suds to cover whole face, THEN you can spread it on. I found it doesnt rinse well unless this is done, but wow what a feeling afterwards!! Soft like a baby's cheek, not like a grease ball and definitely not like paper. My pores thank you J&J-- wish it hadnt taken me 15 years to try this! Read more
