I'm never using Jergens again! I'm fair skinned but used the Sublime for medium skin tones and this gives me a great color (Jergens made me look kinda yellow and doesnt last long). I'd say its safe to rub a little in like regular hand lotion too so you dont have a tan line on your wrists (its not too dark that it'll make the insides of your hands a funny color) The smell is AMAZING!!! My boyfriend couldnt stand the smell of the Jergens stuff, and who wants to be the smelly self tan girl?! I'm in love with this product! Give it a try! Read more

I really love this product. I gives me a beautiful looking tan, like I've been to the beach, but the only draw back I have with it, is that it is to oily. I can't use it on my face because of the oil. Wish they could take some of the oil out, it would be a PERFECT product. But I will still use anyway like it is, I have been using for over 2 years now. What makes this tanner stand apart from others is its rather thin consistency. It makes it easy to quickly apply and rub this in to your legs and arms. I find other similar tanner/lotion formulas are thick and greasy, so mistakes and streaks are almost sure to happen. Also, I'm not sure why (because all tanners use the same active ingredient) but this one doesn't leave me orange. I can't give this five stars though, because like a lot of other reviewers here, I think the sparkle thing is obnoxious. I have not tanned in the sun for 10 years, and even though I use self tanner daily, I have relatively light skin. I could see where the gold sheen would look pretty on darker complexions, but it just looks fake on lighter skin. Please, L'OREAL, read the countless reviews here, take out the glitter, or at least make a glitter free product as well! Read more

I went to the beach and tanned in my swimsuit for about two hours. I then put a tee on and walked around for an hour. The part of my arms which were exposed were noticeably darker than the part of my arms, my shoulders, etc. which were covered. I used this product on the parts of my body that had been covered. Having been able to compare my natural and faux tans side-by-side (literally), I can tell you that this product gives a very natural-looking, believable tan. Note: I have yellow/golden undertones. I'm not sure how this product would work on those with skin tones that are different from mine. Read more
