First let me clarify that I did not have the opportunity to actually use the suit in the water. I would have been happy to test the suit out but I had to stay within the return policy which states only un-used suits can be returned.

Wetsuits are not easy to put on, but as far as wetsuits go, the inner material of this suit made donning the suit easy. The rear zipper goes shoulder to shoulder and is a dry-suit styled zipper. This zipper requires a dive buddy to zip closed. All the material and stitching on the suit appeared of extraordinary quality. The built-in extra vest layer felt incredibly warm and comfortable. I also found the material on the seals to be both comfortable and effective. The seal did not choke me like on some of my previous dry suits. From previous wetsuit experience I could tell the suit would have been very warm in cold water.

The elasticity of the material made the suit feel very flexible and comfortable with the exception of the shoulders. The shoulde

I've used this suit diving in temperate Australian waters (11 - 18 degrees celcius). The major con is it's impossible to don & doff the suit without assistance because of the rear shoulder zip. When I bought it I didn't think this would trouble me, but actually, it's a pain. In addition quite a bit of force is required to pull it across (even when lubricated). I've done about 20 dives in it and it's beginning to pull the zip out from where it's glued in at each end. It needs more re-inforcement in those places. The other thing is I have to 'burp' the air out of it before decending. I do this by holding open the neck seal while floating on the surface. Inevitably a bit of water enters. This may be because the diameter of the legs is a bit big. I can never get it all out though, and I've actually had to add a kilo to my weightbelt. It's also necessary to punch a small hole in the hood to let air escape. Other than that it's pretty good. Overall it's comfortable and warm, and it's a very

        My experience and recomendations about

- Chose size according to your height not chest size or weight.

- Do not wear it before 5 mins of your dive. Its terribly hot.

- Just forget about its semi dry feature. Its all wet suit. Water leaks from every openning wrist, neck and foot.

Now I need a dry suit for winter. And this suit is too hot for winter. Maybe a 5-4-3 trilastic was better for me for early and late summer and spring and fall. Read more

Great wetsuit!

I used this semi-dry suit on a commercial dive where everyone else was wearing a drysuit. The water was 60 degrees, but at the end of 1 1/2 - 2 hours, I was completely warm. When I pulled the suit off in the locker room, my chest was completely dry!

I would highly recommend this suit if a drysuit is not an option.

The only cons are the drysuit style zipper is rough to close and open, and it's inconveniently placed on the upper back - so a buddy has to zip it up. It's also a bit tight around my shoulders. But that's to be expected, and was much less so than the 8mm suit I tried on when considering this one. Read more

Great Coldwater WetSuit!

Wow was all i could say when i first tried it in open water! My Core stayed dry except for a little sweat. Did not feel any water entering the suit during a 76 minute dive in 62 degree water. Very warm, a little uncomfortable when fully suited up on land. I'm not a fan of the hood, as the opening cuts very close to my eyes and gets in the way of the mask, and it's difficult to turn my head with it on.

Overall i would give it a 4 out of 5, but for a wetsuit this thick, i don't know if the above mentioned cons can be corrected. Read more
