I have had this camera for six months now,was brought after I had lost my Cannon A620 which was only a 5 mega pixal, this camera is great in low light, I have taken many a clear and sharp Shot in a music concert hall,near where I live,the colors and the macro is great I take a lot of closeup's of flowers, they come out really great the only con that I might find is that the lag time between shots but that is only a small problem. compared to the ease and great feel of the camera, the zoom is the best part, I have stood across the street and have taken a shot of a person holding a cup of coffee, the shot was clear and sharp The battery life is great and with the ease of AA batteries, you can always have extra with you to carry along, I have a recharger and always have fresh one's with me at all times,Yes I would say that this is a great little camera you can stick it in your backpack,knowing that whenever you need a shot the camera is ready to go Robert W Fischer Read more

Excellent performance in a variety of lighting conditions. Good manual modes - great flexibility. Image stabilizer does a good job, distortion pretty low for a camera this size, noise reduction not heavy handed. Battery performance is good - a 2000+ mAh battery recommended because a camera with big LCD, decent flash, zooming etc is going to consume power. But with 2 pairs of batteries you must be good to go. Plus there is always the possibility of picking up AA batteries from anywhere in the world. Read more

I thoroughly enjoy this camera. I purchased it recently and started taking random pictures around Vermont with it. I was in a car that was going 80 MPH and I took clear, distinct photos, as if I wasn't moving at all. The zoom on the camera is amazing, you don't sacrifice the quality of the picture to achieve the distance. The functions of the camera are easy to work, and if there is something I didn't know, I referred to the owner's manual, which was easy to understand. The shutter speed is very quick, and I love the manual flash. The only down fall was that my batteries would run out quickly, but it may just be that I buy cheap batteries. I would suggest buying rechargeable batteries and a memory card bigger than 1 GB. Read more

I found that this camera is great to use in low light and even in well lit areas. The image quality is quite impressive for a camera of it's price. It's easy to use. The 'easy' setting makes it hard to take a bad picture, even if you have no idea what you're doing setting wise. Overall great camera. Read more

I finally had to replace my previous 10x optical zoom when the retracting lense locked up. the key features for me were the 10x optical and manageable size. I don't want to deal with different lenses but enjoy the ability to zoom in on nature and far off away objects. So far, this camera has not dissapointed. The advancements since my previous 10x (approx 6 yrs old) are amazing. LCD is amazing and the menu system is pretty intuitive. It uses 2AAs instead of proprietary rechargeable which means you can always find replacements but lose a little in battery life I think. Great value and I did a lot of comparisons.
