Excellent spacesaving combo!

I bought this product a month ago to save space and replace an old microwave. I love that it has a coffee maker built right in! Right away I loved the design, stainless finish, and the numerous touch pad controls. I've found it to be very easy to use and very powerful. The only negative I can foresee is the coffee pot. Other reviewers of this product had problems with the bottom band of the pot breaking and needing to replace it. Due to the unique shape, you would have to order from the manufacturer at a steep cost. My family and I absolutely love this product and are just being especially careful with the coffee pot. We bought this product when we built our new house 3 years ago. We love the idea and it looked beautiful in our kitchen. But the coffee pot soon had problems. The steam was too hot for the plastic and melted the coffee grounds holder. We bought a new one (at [$] for that part alone) but it soon went bad too and caused the coffee maker to stop perculating after only a half a cup so you had to keep turning it back on 5 or six times to get a full pot of coffee. Then I bought a whole new unit for Christmas, we turned it on once, it smoked and smelled and then wouldn't make any coffee. The microwave part is fabulous, but the coffee maker part needs some work. The only problem is when you drop the coffee jar. They don't sell a replacement jar so you end up with an akward-looking microwave and a conventional coffee maker on the side. Read more
