I have 4 kids, 4 cats, a dog and live in the sandhills in North Carolina. Someone was always Vacuuming, sweeping, or mopping and I figured anything would be a time saver. I don't know how it does it, but Billy finds dirt and hair even after we vacuumed the room manually to check out how he does. We are very happy with our new housemate. I haven't been sorry from the first time I used my "Rosie". When friends say it costs too much, I ask how much they paid for their manual vac. and I don't have to do anything but push a button, unless I program it, then it pushes it's own button. I giggle when it puts itself back home to charge, and the little songs it sings. I don't think I've ever been happier about a cleaning product. I have back problems and this is just what the doctor ordered. Thank you for making my life a little easier, and less painful. I recommend it all the time, I let my Mom use it, she may get one too. I have had my Roomba 610 for 3 days now. It is the most wonderful machine ever purchased in my home. It cleans my carpet so well I will sell all my vacuum cleaners. Instead of 2 machines - 1 for the carpet and 1 for the tile floor - I have Ruby Red. It takes up less space to store. It is easy to clean out. I didn't realize the dirt my other machines were missing. I cleaned Ruby Red twice after going over my master bedroom carpet. I couldn't beleive the dirt and dog hair it picked up. I just love not having to follow it everywhere and can do other chores while it cleans. My dogs look at the machine but haven't tried to chase or bite it. My dogs would leave the room when the other vacuum cleaner was running but now they just look at it going by. And it is not too noisey. We watched TV while it was running in the living room with us. I love my Roomba. I have three large macaws who make a terrible mess everyday. The Roomba picks up the all the seeds, pellets, and wood chips that they throw out of their cage. A lot of big vacuums can't even do that. Add it's incredibly quiet. The sound of a larger vaccuum used to really upset my birds- but they don't even notice the Roomba running around every morning and afternoon, picking up their mess. If you're a big bird owner with cages indoors-- this is a must have! Read more

I have wanted an irobot for months, just because the idea was cool. After working on my wife for a few months she finally agreed. We purchased the professional series. Rosie learned our house in a day, she cleans every night while we are asleep. We wake up to a clean house every day, its great!! I can't believe how much dirt it pulls up every night. The only gripe I have isn't really Rosie's fault, I have to clean hair from the brushes everyday. I'm sure its because we have two cats and a dog. I wouldn't trade her for anything!
