I loved this bacon. This is my second time purchasing it and It was better then I remembered. It had a lovely smokey flavor but that didn't overpower the speical taste of the wild boar which was sweet, meaty and complex. I made some for breakfast with poached eggs and rice. Very good. I should save the bacon fat but alas I didn't this time. Read more

this bacon was a major treat for us. I try to avoid using bacon because of the fat and nitrates. When I bought this, on impulse, I was amazed at the taste texture and all around great quality. Blt's made with this heiloom tomatoes and fresh from the farm butter lettuce, took us to heaven! The best part is, while with alot of bacon about the only taste is salty, this is so packed with flavor, a little goes a long way! Read more

While overall a good product, I'm not sure I would buy the Wild Boar Bacon again. As someone above mentioned, the bacon has a sweet and unique flavor which is quite pleasant. Unfortunately, I found the slices to be a bit too thin for my taste making it difficult to cook the bacon without it wasting away into nothing. If it were only twice as thick...

Also, to the person who cooked their eggs in the drippings from the bacon - that is the best use I've found for this product! Read more

This bacon has a great flavor to it that's unlike any other bacon I've tried. It's not overly gamey, but it tastes slightly sweet with an almost bourbon flavor to the meat. I fried my eggs in the leftover fat afterwards and it was a great way to spend Sunday morning. Read more

Whether lightly cooked, or well-cooked, it's flavor remains. Although, if you let it cook for a long period of time, it will get crunchier. I love me some crunchy bacon! More bacon, please! Read more
