Easily installed, but not "insect-proof" as is. We are planning to replace the side accordion panels with a wood frame. The unit itself works well, but seems to have a range of +/- 2° for the set temperature in "power saver" mode. It will initially cool the room about 2 degrees lower than set temperature, but it will not go on again until the temperature is about 2 degrees higher than set. This is okay, as it keeps the unit from cycling on and off constantly, and a four degree range is fine, especially at night. It also circulates the air very well. Read more

It is a good unit for the price. We have it in a small bedroom and it cools it quickly, isn't too loud and was easy to install. It also does a good job of turning off and on with the preset temperature, a great feature for those who have used older a/c units that were either on all the time or off. Can't beat the price. A good unit that is relatively easy to install and doesn't weight a ton (about 50 lbs). It isn't hush-quiet but it's not screamingly loud either; does a good job of cooling the room I have, which isn't large but is oddly shaped. Only real draw-back is that it's on the lower end for efficiency so I wouldn't recommend it for all-day all-night operation. Otherwise, quite happy with it. Read more
