I had the washer and dryer delivered on February 17, 2009. I fell in love. I did read all the reviews I could find on the internet, but took into account that the reliability rating by CR is 90%. Slim chance I'd get a lemon, right? First the bad news. After two weeks I turned on the washer and the POWER came on but the door lock wouldn't engage and the washer wouldn't start. I turned to the manual and tried everything they suggested, plus a few computer tricks like unplugging everything and waiting 15-30 minutes to re-boot the system, and unplugging the cord to the dryer and the power cord and waiting again. Nothing worked. Manual recommends that you check the filter in the front of the machine for small items that may be clogging it. It does NOT warn you that the filter in the front of the machine will be FULL of a LOT of water so I spent an hour trying to mop up all the water under the 225 lb. machine that I couldn't move by myself. First, I have to say that I did not purchase this product through Best Buy, they did not have this model in the local stores, and I needed to know exactly what this model offered. This is also our first front load system. Both my Wife and I were intrigued by GE Profile, and Electrolux (mainly because of their steam options.) So far, we feel that we have made the best choice with this washer, and the Smart Dispense Pedestal that GE has for this model as well. So far we have washed almost anything that we can get our hands on. Not only are our clothes softer, and cleaner, they are more vibrant. The washer is very quite, and easy to use. We purchased the matching Electric Dryer so they can communicate to one another, and this is brilliant. The delay option is extremely handy, as we will delay towels and bedding to wash while we are away and finish right when we get home to put into the washer. we bought the set of these and they are nice they communicate with each other (washer and drier) and we got the smart dispense base with it so you set your wash load it dispenses the detergent and sets the drier setting for your load looks real complicated but it really isnt we like this alot Read more

This is the biggest and the best washer i ever had. II like about it's big capacity. I could wash my comforter using this washer and my comforter still looks new. I like about it's water and energy efficincy. I have a baby and I had lots of clothes to wash every week. Yet, I save lots of money using this washer compare to my previous washer. Read more
