On the 3rd day of using this player, the screen started to have a whiteline to appear, and it stays there ever since. I figured it may have been a defect, the pixels went dead on that line. Its disturbing to watch videos or just to do about anything. I also have no idea what the logic is when it has an ON-OFF switch while there is also a POWER switch. If the manufacturer was really doing some thinking, it would make the most logical sense to change that ON-OFF slider switch to a HOLD switch. With this said, if you need to HOLD the player, you need to press and hold the POWER switch while pressing the MENU button, and it sometimes just won't work or it switches your player off. So you can just forget about using the HOLD feature, as it does not make much sense of how it is implemented. Also, the touch sensitive buttons are sometimes way too sensitive or not sensitive at all. You'll need to constantly make sure its dust or fingerprint free in order to navigate. Read more

        The touch sensitive controls are extremely sensitive, but once you get the knack of using it it functions smoothly. The firmware could use some tweaking because you have to reset the volume, eq, play sequence each time you start this player. It doesn't take long to do it, but gets to be a pain. You can either choose the main memory or the added mini sd memory card. They don't combine to create one large playlist. Also, 2 gb is the largest mini sd card this will handle ... don't waste your money buying any larger card .. it won't work in here. so basically you can only ''load'' 4 gig of music, etc at a time. (about 1100 songs) The ac charger that comes with this is worth about 30 bucks just by itself. (it's the same type apple used to supply with it's original ipod, but is now only sold by 3rd party companies for 30 bucks. This also suffers from ''psp'' syndrome, meaning it's a very shiny black finish that shows and enhances every fingerprint it can. All in all is a great value for th Read more

        I bought this item hoping for something I could use to carry lists with me versus a booklet and found that you can not only do this, but also download music and audio books. I not only absolutely love this item, but use it literally every day! I can't remember the last time I was this pleased with an item that I purchased.
You can listen to the radio, download music, record information, enter lists or data in txt files and upload. Listen to books on tape (actually several at a time) as well as upload pictures and videos.
You can charge it either from your computer or electrical outlet and you don't have to wait until it is completely dead before doing so. The charge time is only an hour or so, and once charged lasts for over six straight hours.
Awesome product - I've used ipods and the reliability of this product far exceeds that of the ipod by miles. Read more

        Controls are way too sensitive. Music and videos started to 'stop and start' whenever it felt like it. Too flimsy and very easy to scratch. The LCD screen was, however, excellent and picture quality very good. Speaker (internal) was good and loud. The plug in for headphones alas did not work properly, kept losing contact! I eventually got so fed up with the 'stopping and starting' that the player ended up in the garbage can. Would NEVER buy another Mach Speed Product. Also one more gripe, if I may;
Tiger Direct HAS to change it's shipping partner. It is WAY TOO expensive. A 2gig SD card can be almost tripled in price when shipping is added on!
I am sorry to say that I will very likely NOT buy from Tiger again. But then this will not get posted so what the heck! Read more

        What more can you ask for at this price?
Unit price =$50.00
2 GB micro SD card = $15.00
Total cost = $65.00 for a 4 GB video player.
2.4 inch screen
simply copy and paste onto the player (no synching needed) after converting with the included software.
Buttons are too sensitive and navigation on the player is a bit confusing at first.
So overall for the price, screen size and ease of downloading, what more could you ask for.
Especially when compared to I pod's (which never seem to be on sale) or Zune (which I think are great) it doesn't make any sense to me to pay so much extra. Did I mention the screen size?
Of course 6 months from now I could think differently if the player craps out on me then I would call it a piece of junk. Read more
