Best commuter tire ever

I have been riding on the 28's for 3 years on my commuter road bike. Over 12000 miles and NOT A SINGLE FLAT! I have ridden over glass, potholes, road kill, snakes, nails, a boot, curbs, sharp gravel, snow, ice, car parts, dairy truck implements, snow plow detritus and other flotsam and jetsam. Yes, they are a little heavier than a racing tire; however, nowhere near as heavy or with the rolling resistance of other tires in the same class. I am getting about 2500 miles front, 1700 rear. I tend to switch the back to the front after about 1500 miles or so and just replace the rear. I ride year round, although I usually switch to Nokian 106's for the deep winter months (I live in a very cold area of the NW). The best all around commuter/touring tire, bar none. Read more

I have been running these tires for over a year and have put on about 2000 km. I carry allot of weight daily and the tires have been nothing but a pleasure. The current 700x28s I have are a little light for the potholes and I will move to a 700x32 when I replace them. I have had no flats, and this after getting three flats in three months with my original tires. Read more

I used this tire on a coast to coast ride, on a recumbent bike. No flats!! Got over 4000 miles before tread kevlar belt started showing through. I rode over stuff that flatted Armadillos, and could easily out-coast riders on 130 psi tires. Tread is thick in middle for wear, but tire is still lean and mean. Read more
