I can't imagine a better road bike with flat handebars for the price. Just purchased it this weekend and love it already. Excellent for casual riding and asphalt trails. Will eventually use it while participating in charity triatholons. In addition to the flat bars, I like that the bike is lightweight, has great components and perfect sized tires for the application (700x32c). I did change to a more comfortable saddle. Read more

I use this bike to go to and from school. I have also installed saddle bags to help me to carry by school books. This bike is perfect in all regards. This is my second Giant and I would recommend all Giant bikes as they are very well put together and the quality of components is not second rate. Everyone looks at it and are amased that I ride it everyday to and from school. I getting the exercise my doctor wants me to get and I'm not burning up any gas.I have even suggested that with my childrens trailer that I could even do the grocery shopping for the family. Read more

I have had my FCR for about 6 months and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is nearly perfect for what I bought it for - exercise. You probably won't win many road races on this bike, and it may be too slow for repeated Century rides, but it is great on bike trails and for commuting. I especially like the smooth shifting gears, and the overall quality and good looks of this bike. Read more

Giant makes excellent bikes at fair prices. This bike rocks, lots of bang for the buck. It is smooth, fast, easy to set up and it is built to fly. Very comfortable to ride, and it's performance level is right up there. This bike's feel is worth way more than it's price tag. [...] I actually traded in a hardtail Marin for this bike as I mostly ride through the city to work and back. This is a way more efficient pavement bike, it is fast. The pedals I changed and same with the seat, some things are just better than others due to personal taste. Read more

I've logged 1000s of miles on road bikes inc 33 centuries. In Florida I wanted a flatbar roadie with bigger tires for the sandy shoulders and more upright profile to keep an eye on the drivers better. I love the Giant for its speed/weight/good fit (XL, I'm a tall rider). Only thing I might alter would be lighter wheels/tires. This bike flies! Read more
