I bought this for my son who can't seem to turn his lights off. He works crazy hours at a local hospital doing valet parking. He used it one weekend and jumped 3 seperate cars (his included) off one charge (12 hours initially), now that's how you get GREAT tips! We bought him a new battery since (diehard of course), so now I use it to power my inverter for my mobile electronics. Get the male to male cable and hook it up to your 12V output in your car, it will charge itself when it needs it and be there when you need it. Plug it in and forget about it, forgot your lights, that's when you remember the 750! Forget the 30 minute wait for AAA or trying to flag someone down.

I love this unit because it is compact and has more power per dollar than other units. The key is the amps and this has plenty to do the job, it can start a Honda or a huge van just the same. PS try to buy a phone without buying more accessories, the 12V cable was a couple bucks and a just few aisles down,at Sears anywa

For jump starting, this thing does it's job. Very simple to use, never had a problem jumping a car with this. Also useful for charging electronics that use a 12v cord. I hate seeing the bad reviews for such a great product. You need to charge this initially for about 12 hours. I usually recharge this jump box after every use. No problems yet. It does have a one year warranty on it.

Very useful product, like another person said, I wish the cables were just a little bit longer. <a href="http://www.buzzillions.com/dz_1865077_diehard_portable_power_750_12_volt_outlet_reviews#bz-model-review-8224687">Read more</a>

I have had jump starters in the past 10 years, and used them mostly to power a portable 12 volts air pump and keep
tire pressure as recommended on three family cars. I still
do that every Saturday. The battery charge test indicators on
other jump starters were a joke; on this one they are as good as they get. Keeping a charge on prior units was iffy, and drain was fast. On this one the charge is holding quite good,
and the battery recovers considerably even if not plugged in.
Overcharge and reduce battery life was common on prior units. No overcharge on this one. When it reaches full charge, charging stops automatically. It can be left plugged
in all time, and it has an auto charge float that will maintain
battery fully charged. At full charge, it shows a 13.35 volts;
if the voltage falls below 12.85 volts, the float re-starts the
charging automatically until 13.35 volts then turn off.
No charging cord; buyer needs his own. a minor expense, but

This product does not come with everything you need to actually "use" it. Specifically, there is no cable with which to recharge the unit. It has a 120V male plug on the side, but a normal household extension cord won't fit, you need to use the outdoor type extension cord, which I did not have, so I had to go buy one. Sears will also sell you a special purpose male-male cigarette lighter cable for recharging.
I am trying to think of something else I have bought in the last 20 years that required me to go purchase a special cable, and I'm drawing a blank. I've bought several similar car accessories: rechargable air compressor, rechargable flashlight, etc...and they all come with cables. What a concept!
The light that is part of this unit is a plain incandescent bulb like you'd see 20 years ago. Comparable products I looked at all have halogen or LED bulbs. I normally don't care about things like case design but this case is particularly awkward. It looks like they took a battery and the

I was in the market for a battery charger for our soccer club, in order to start a utility cart that had been sitting all winter. When I saw the 750, I decided this was the way to go instead of a charger.

I was attracted to the 750 because of its price compared to medium duty chargers, and its versatility - no extension cords needed to charge a battery, and the 12V outlet were the deciding points.

After taking it to the club and charging it for a couple hours (there was a decent charge in it), I took it out, hooked it up and the cart started. A very good first experience.

I am looking forward to being the hero when jumping cars in our lot, and for supplying 12V power when we need it at the fields.

The only reason I did not give it a 5-start rating is the short length of the cables. Another 12" or so would be much more usable (making the channel deep enough to wrap them around the unit twice?)

The compact size, and ease of use have already earned high marks for me. My initial expec
