I love the look of this Maytag dishwasher and the price is great. It has enough capacity for large platers and pans and loading is a snap. We have large family gatherings and my holiday china is safe in this dishwasher. The control lockout is very desirable for little, curious fingers. After using a 20-something old dishwasher for many years, I didn't realize how far technology had come until I got this dishwasher. All I can say is, "WOW!" I LOVE this dishwasher. It's quiet and it cleans beautifully! I've left food on the dishes overnight just to see how well it would clean them. After running them through the dishwasher they came out clean as a whistle! This is by far the best of the best on the market. Maytag makes the only true quite dishwasher. So much attention has been focused on the quiteness. Very low sound and most of the time you don't even know it is washing. Tap on the inside of the door and try other brands and you will "hear" the difference. Prewashing is certainly over with when using this dishwasher. Wheather you use it once a week or daily it is so worth the money, just for the wonderful cleaning and quiteness. Read more

I purchased this dishwasher and installation. We scheduled the istallation and when the day arrived the first problem was that they did not call me and tell me when to expet them. I work an hour away and when they hadn't called halfway through the afternoon I went ahead and came home to wait. When they arrived, they said that even though I had puchased installation, they wouldn't install this product because dishwashers are hard wired. Next I called Home Depot and went througha week of "We will call you back when we find something out." They finally scheduled another installer, and I took another day off work to wait at home for him. When they didn't show by three I called them and they told me that they couldn't install for insurance reasons. I finally worked out for me to do the wiring, if they would complete the rest of the install. We purchased this dishwasher & when loading the bottom rack the first time the bottom rack's front wheels slipped off the rails on the inside of the tub & rolled into the gap between the door & tub, causing the dishes to bang together. You must load the back of the rack first & then you can put heavy dishes up front. Other wise, if you put heavy dishes in the front of the bottom rack with nothing in the back of the rack, the bottom rack will not stay on the bottom rails inside the tub. It will roll forward. I am replacing the unit with another brand, as after looking at all mid-price range Maytags, it appears they are all designed the same way. I called Maytag customer service & they said there is no problem, it is the way it was designed. So, unless you don't mind broken dishes, I would suggest you not purchase any of the mid-price range Maytags with the bottom rack wheels that sit directly above the end of the front rail inside the tub.
