Pros: I bought this to pump up car and bike tires and to inflate basketballs. It has proven well up to the task. Once pressurized, it goes a very long time before it ever needs to be plugged in again. The unit rolls easily and is also easy to carry around by hand. The interchangeable connector system works well. Additional add-ons can be obtained from Campbell Hausfeld, the apparent maufacturer. I bought a third party tire inflator with a built in guage and it fit right on. Cons: There is no on-machine storage for the attachments. It is noisy when it pressurizes. Read more

I picked up one of these as it seemed to be a good alternative to the Porter Cable combo as I didn't need the nailers. I also have a friend who rehabs homes who has one and likes his. First off, when I opened the box the entire top of the unit was covered in some type of sticky substance. I thought it may have been used and returned but all the factory cable ties were in place as were the carton staples. No big deal, I wiped it off, but when I got the hoses connected and fired it up, it ran for over 40 minutes without shutting off (the pressure was hovering around 130 PSI) and just as I thought it was reaching its high cut off the safety valve let go until the pressure dropped down to 40 PSI or so. I thought it was just a fluke and let it run again, and the same thing happened. I have no idea why it couldn't reach pressure and why the safety blew - it was hovering at 130 PSI for about fifteen minutes each time before the safety valve let go. This is a piece of junk, DO NOT BUY THIS! I used this 10 times in just over one year for bicycle tires and it has now stopped working. It smelled like smoke when it was new and it is loud. Home Depot will not support the repair/replacement since I purchased it over one year ago. They said I am welcome to have it serviced at Campbell Hausfeld at my expense. I contacted the service center and they tell me there is no record of this compressor supposedly to have been made by Husky exclusively for Home Depot. Evidently it is so exclusive it is elusive. Compressor motor locked up after 6 months of very limited use. I called customer service, and was told that I would have to call Campbell-Hausfield. I told the service person what had happened and that I didn't have a receipt but I could show on my bank statement where it had been purchased. I was not asking for a refund just an exchange. She told me that wouldn't work and unless I have a receipt I was out of luck. I told her that I probably wouldn't be buying anymore of there products and she responded "oh well" and hung up on me. I have owned mine for less than 7 months and the motor is already worn out to the point that it can't build air pressure, and I didn't use it very much at all. Home Depot will only accept it 90 days after purchase. It will cost close to the value of the compressor to ship it to get the warranty work done on it. Now I am out of luck and stuck with a worthless compressor and Home Depot won't do anything for me. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HOME DEPOT AGAIN! Lowe's here I come. Read more
