I have two other much more "sophisticated" digital cameras but needed something I could give to a couple of teens at our family reunion to take pics all day long. I put in my memory card and the kids went wild taking pics. In point and click mode most came out great. The camera has a very usefull menu of "scene selections" which they did not use, but which would have made many pics turn out better. I plan to take this camera on a trip to the MS Delta this month and carry it with me all the time because of it's portability and good battery life (2 AA). Purchased this for my wife for an early easter present along with a 6 month old male sheltie. Since she has had this camera,I beleave she has take well over 800 plus picture's. She took this camera over to her dads and he could not beleave the way that this camera took pictures. He loved how every detail stood out and had to add this camera to his wish list. Well for an early fathers day present I had to return to tiger direct to purchase another one for him.He is now enjoying his camera as bad as my wife is.Now she is just waiting for our new sheltie puppies to be born. i've been using this camera about a month and i am very satisfied with its performance. i keep it in my car and take pictures wherever i go. it is very easy to use. pictures are very vivid and colors stand out. i took magnificent sunset pictures on the beach using mode setting. only drawbacks are shutter speed is a bit slow and video quality is avarage. it is the best camera for the money. i am planning to buy another one for my dad. I bought this camera to take on endurance horseback rides so I wouldn't have to take a chance on damaging or losing my expensive Canon, and I love it. Fits in my pocket and takes great pictures. My 86-year-old mom has always wanted one so I got her one too. I wish it would take clearer up close shots but for the price it's a very nice little camera. Read more
